- 00:32
- This is New Albion on Mars
- 00:36
- Early missions to establish New Albion were crewed by
- 00:39
- people of very similar ages, with strict roles to play.
- 00:44
- We want to build a community that fully represents a
- 00:47
- diverse 'arc of life', so those making the journey from
- 00:51
- Earth now are from a much wider range of ages.
- 00:56
- Family groups spanning 3 generations have made the journey.
- 01:01
- If you can pass the fitness test for the journey here,
- 01:05
- you qualify as a potential colonist.
- 01:08
- Joint, group, and family applications are welcome.
- 01:12
- The journey fitness criteria do not directly discriminate
- 01:16
- on the basis of age, but they are physically demanding.
- 01:22
- Candidate colonists must be able to independently operate ship
- 01:26
- emergency equipment, hence young children are unlikely to qualify.
- 01:32
- The journey fitness criteria continue to apply until boarding:
- 01:37
- neonates and foetuses must wait on Earth until they can
- 01:42
- independently pass the journey fitness test.
- 01:47
- After passing the journey fitness test, your position in the queue to
- 01:52
- make the journey to Mars may be influenced by demand for particular skills.
- 01:58
- If you are delayed or advanced by selection and you've made a group
- 02:02
- application, your group will still travel together.
- 02:07
- New Albion looks forward to your arrival. Apply today!
