This is New Albion on Mars
00:36
Mobile robots are not permitted inside the
lived-in parts of New Albion.
00:42
New Albion is a human colony, in which almost all
near-human work is done by humans.
00:50
Naturally, we have complex standalone and assistive
machines such as for vertical farming and surgery.
00:59
However, there are no non-toy machines changing
01:02
location under their own power unattended
inside the habitat.
01:08
New Albion's heavy mining, processing, and
construction equipment is largely automated and
01:15
works mostly unattended under onboard power.
01:19
These heavy automated machines
- arguably "robots" -
01:23
are almost always outside on the Martian surface.
01:27
The only place humans and mobile robots are
in proximity is in the industrial zones
01:33
between the lived-in Ways and
the Martian surface.
01:38
At New Albion we think it's odd Earth
*doesn't* have 'human reservations'.
