- This is New Albion on Mars
- 00:36
- As well as animal species living
- 00:38
- in as near as possible to wild conditions in
- New Albion, there are domesticated animals.
- 00:45
- These animals - such as cattle, pigs,
- chickens, and sheep - are farmed
- 00:49
- for food and other products in New Albion.
- 00:54
- While we strongly protect the wild
- fauna we have brought from Earth
- 00:58
- to New Albion, we acknowledge the special
- case of animals bred to be farmed.
- 01:05
- The reproductive interference (essentially
- eugenics) necessary to produce domesticated
- 01:11
- animals and the restrictions placed on their
- freedom (akin to slavery) is directly
- 01:17
- at odds with protection of animals and
- conservation of their habitats.
- 01:23
- With this in mind, it is not permitted to
- import or otherwise acquire an animal other
- 01:29
- than for farming or as part of a
- project to conserve a wild animal species
- 01:35
- from Earth in near-natural conditions.
- 01:39
- There are no pets at New Albion.
